Antonio specialises in the development of tourism policies and strategies in various destinations in Europe, the Americas and Central Asia. He has held various senior management positions as CEO and COO, responsible for project planning and implementation, business development, business operations and product development of several international companies with a turnover of 4.5 billion Euros. He has also worked as a consultant for several multinational companies (Forbes500) and public organisations.
He is Professor of International Management, Chair of International Economics and Business at the Dresden University of Applied Sciences (Germany) and Head of Studies in Business Administration and Management and Head of Studies in Tourism and Event Management.
Antonio has a PhD in Economics and International Relations (Doctor Europeus, Summa cum Laude), TEM and MA in Economics and International Relations from the Universidad Autónoma de Madrid. He also holds a University Degree in Contemporary History from the same university and studied the Degree in Political Science and Sociology at the UNED.
He has been a full-time lecturer and researcher at the Universidad Autónoma de Madrid, Technische Universität Dresden, and South Bank University London. He has also been visiting professor at universities in Europe, America and Asia. His research interests include international economics and development economics, technology clusters, systems analysis, social networks, smart systems and knowledge transfer.
