Khawar Hameed has 30 years of experience in information systems & digital innovation.  He is an experienced academic, innovator and entrepreneur.  His expertise is in information systems, digital strategy, digital innovation & transformation and digital leadership.  He is passionate about cross-sector innovation and the role of technology to create transformative societal impact and value.

As a strong contemporary digital thinker and thought leader, he has worked on the concept development and delivery of a range of pioneering projects focusing on mobile technology for business, the creation of an application development and testing facility for mobile systems, a large-scale regional sub-cluster programme in mobile and wireless technologies, and many high-impact cross-sector projects that leverage digital capability.  Khawar excels in understanding, diagnosing and developing areas of digital intervention and innovation across sectors.

He is a Fellow of the British Computer Society, a Senior Fellow of the Higher Education Academy, and Visiting Professor of Digital Transformation at Birmingham City University, UK.
